Blowing Off Some Steam

Only two days before our first public performance of Aristocrats. I'm at that stage of the whole rehearsal process where I've lost any sense of objectivity and have no idea how people are going to react to the show. I remain firmly convinced that it's in the hands of one of the most capable casts we could hope for, but whether or not the crowds (if, indeed they come) will "get" us remains to be seen.

This past Friday we all let our hair down after rehearsal and went to Piper's Pub, an Irish (appropriately enough) establishment about five blocks from the theater. Pints were consumed and craziness ensued. See below:

Caitlin Clarke, performing our cast
inside joke which, if I explained it to you, would convince you we're all heartless creatures.

Going around the table from left:
Caitlin Clarke, Jen Sharon's back, Beth
Hersey, Andrew Paul, a friend of Beth's whose name has completely escaped me, and Jay O'Berski.

...wouldn't you just love to know what they were talking about? That's Maureen McGranahan from PICT next to Jay.  She was hidden behind him in the pic above.

This one, of Tessa Klein, is by no means a great picture, but I liked the way the light was hitting her in rehearsal one day.  Too bad I'm not a good enough photographer to have captured it better!

This one's probably my favorite in quite a while; it's of stage manager Ali Paleos as she chats with lighting designer Bill O'Donnell from the stage.
