Write Like an Egyptian

A friend sent me an e-card yesterday from a site that will translate your name into ancient Egyptian hieroglyph.  Who know such a thing could be done?!?  I think it's pretty cool... over to the left is apparently hieroglyph for "Joe."

Okay, I suspect it's probably not really "Joe."  But it's still really cool.

Getting this particular e-mail, though, reminded me that I've been saving something else this friend forwarded me 'cuz I thought it was cool, and I wanted to remind myself of the right way to live, so for what it's worth...

How to be an Artist

Have wild imaginings, transformative dreams, and perfect calm. Draw on the walls. Read every day. Imagine yourself magic. Giggle with children. Listen to old people. Open up. Drive in. Be free. Bless yourself. Drive away fear. Play with everything. Entertain your inner child. You are innocent. Build a fort with blankets. Get wet. Hug trees. Write love letters.
