Pretty!

A beautiful day today! The skies cleared and the temperatures dropped a bit, and the humidity was blown away!

I went to the Sports Authority near my office and bought some accessories for my (actually, John's) bike -- a headlight and rear brake light, a small pump, and a gel-filled seat cover. I'm going to do some maintenance this evening and try to get up early enough to follow through on riding my bike to work tomorrow.

As an added bonus, my Girlyman CD showed up in the mail today, so I'm listening to it as I write.

These kids are just plain fun. You have to applaud those people who follow their dreams. Have I written about them before? I discovered them listed as playing a Brooklyn Pride, so I went to their web site and fell i love with their sample tracks, so despite Pride having been a rain-out for me, I've been following them ever since. I ordered their album at a performance in New York at the end of July, and they finally got the money together to finish it and fill their orders.

So, all in all, a pretty fine day.

Maybe I'm just happy 'cuz I got to acquire things. You know how materialistic I can be.
