Well, after way too long an absence, I've got my website up and running again. Of course, it's got a new domain designation (.net), but at least I'm back online.

I'm still trying to wrangle the jackasses at Homestead into being more helpful with the transfer of joeschulz.com to my new domain registrar, but my faith in the probability of that happening is decreasing as the days go on.

So here we are!

Welcome back to my website.  One of the things I'm trying to do with the new website is set up my own blog - one that doesn't have to rely on some hosting service (although Google's looks pretty cool, and there are a number of others out there).

I've talked in the past about trying to minimize the effort of posting these entries, and a blog seems like the most logical thing to do.  So I guess we'll see how that works out.  I know nothing about what's involved, so it'll be an adventure, at least.
