Hello Again!

Well, after what seems an age and a half, I've finally figured out a way to update the journal. The sudden appearence of two months worth of entries probably gave that away, though.

I still don't have a computer at home, and I can only check my e-mail via the web, but I did manage to find a way to upload journal entries.

I've been getting an awful lot of mail from folks who expressed a little worry over the fact that the entries just stopped right after I posted about being depressed.

Well, it's great to know that everyone cares, but you can all relax!

What actually happened is this: My computer finally and completely died, and I just haven't been able to buy a new one yet. Apartment woes have had me watching my money very, very carefully - there's a dispute between the landlord and the British guys who actually hold the lease on my apartment has had me wondering if I was going to have to move suddenly. That seems to be slowly working itself out and things are returning to normal, but it's meant that I needed to save money in reserve for a possible move. Now I'm gonna look seriously at getting myself a new computer.

The thing that I've missed most while my computer's been slowly cooling in it's grave has been the fact that I couldn't download pictures from my digital camera, and I've recently found an outlet for that, as well - so it's all good.

I am, however, learning to do without the constant internet connection at home, which is, I think, a pretty good thing. I'm getting a lot more cleaning done, and a lot more reading, and I don't seem to have significantly increased my TV time, either, which is a bit of a miracle, frankly. That might be owing to the fact that it's summer re-run season. We'll see what happens when the new TV season begins in the fall...

So check out the rather kick-ass picture I got of the Chrysler Building as I was walking home from work last night! Pretty cool, huh?
