The First Photos
Man, do I love the iTunes music store! Today, I downloaded the Barenaked Ladies album (which, frankly, isn't all that new... it came out last year some time; this is how up-to-date I am) and the Indigo Girls first "major label" album, which remains my favorite. I came to the unhappy realization that I have an appalling amount of music eating up space on my work computer's hard drive. Not necessarily a good thing, frankly.
Anyway - It's been two weeks since I've blogged, and I have no idea why that is. I guess I've just been crazy busy? But that answer doesn't seem to make much sense, since I haven't really been doing anything much since the show closed. Kenny Bolden and I have been spending a LOT of time hanging out together, which has been more fun than I can say. And Doug has given me a bunch of stuff for the apartment, so I've been unpacking and putting away.
I'm struck by how empty the apartment still looks. I've got four big tubs of stuff sitting in the living room since I'm still waiting on my landlord to finish some work, and I don't exactly have shelves onto which I can unload these things anyway - stuff like DVDs and CDs and books. I'm gonna have to plunk down some money on some shelves really soon, I think. When I was up at Doug's place to move the stuff he was giving me, I noted he's got a couple of new shelving units that looked great, and he got them relatively cheaply at, of all places, Staples. Heaven forfend that the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy guys should hear about my considering buying furniture from Staples. I'd be forced to turn in my card.
So have I shared any photos of the new apartment with you? These were taken on the day the workers came to finish painting the baseboards, so the place isn't quite this disastrously jumbled anymore, but you get the idea:
