Countdown

Yeesh.  I'm on a big countdown to my last day at the Population Council.  Somehow I don't think that it's hit me yet, that I'm leaving a really comfy position in a really great place to work.  I'm leaving a host of new friends that I've made over the last two years.

It's a really weird feeling to leave a place that's so safe and comfortable for an adventure that promises nothing but a lot of uncertainty.  But that's sort of the human condition, isn't it?  We always wonder what's on the other side of the fence -- we always wanna go to the next place.

I am gonna miss my friends at the Council, though.  Not seeing Holly and AB and the HR gang every day is going to be really weird.  These people are all an important part of my life.
