Celebrating

Today I waded my way through a boatload of unfinished filing.  I think I did six months worth of filing in only four hours.  It was hilarious how fast I was moving.

I'm pretty sure it'll all be pulled together by the end.

Tonight Holly and Nick and some of the gang from work took me to Bliss, a cool little bar a block or so from the office.  I was actually pretty good about not drinking too much, until until Holly and I went bar hopping in Brooklyn after the rest of the party broke up.  Lord.  I think the problem was that I switched to beer in Brooklyn.

All in all it was a great evening, and I had a wonderful time.  I really should go out and be social a lot more, especially now that the smoking ban has kicked in!  Bars are ever so much more palatable to me now.

I'm continually amazed that, as I grow older, I'm much more open to some things, and much more close-minded about others.  Going out, for instance.  Much more amenable to the idea.  Putting up with loud bars and huge crowds?  Not so much.
